- January 12, 2026 – With an increase in both harvested area and yield, the size of the 2025 U.S. corn crop is now estimated to top 17 billion bushels. Along with the record crop in the U.S. was an increase in production in China, the second largest corn producer in the world.
- January 4, 2026 – The Drought Monitor for the North Central region shows a shift in severe and extreme conditions over the last 12 months from the west to the east. Corn export sales on track to reach the marketing year target. Sorghum sales picking up with China back in the market.
- December 12, 2025 – Export sales as of November 13 have been reported as FAS still catches up from the governmental shutdown. Corn export sales remain well on track to reach the projected record high total of 3.2 billion bushels. Grain sorghum sales are sluggish.
- December 9, 2025 – The only revision to the supply and demand table for U.S. corn in the December World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates was to the export category: up 125 million bushels to 3.2 billion.
