Mission – Texas A&M AgriLIfe Extension Tax Workshops provide learner-focused sessions for tax practitioners, so that they can benefit professionally, meet certification requirements, and better serve the community.
Program
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Tax Workshops has been providing quality tax workshops at reasonable prices for professionals in Texas for more than fifty years. Our learner-focused topics include general income tax updates, advanced tax content, agricultural tax issues and how to complete IRS forms.
As the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service continue to issue regulations and procedures for new tax laws, tax professionals need the most current information to serve their clients effectively. We are a continuing education provider for the IRS, Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, Certified Financial Planner Board, and the State Bar of Texas.
Our workshops are customized for a wide range of participants: enrolled agents, certified public accountants, certified financial planners, attorneys, other tax return preparers, accountants, bookkeepers, and small business owners. We contract enrolled agents and certified public accountants, who have vast knowledge and experience, to highlight tax information and provide relevant examples. Our presenters adhere to our learning rubric and incorporate interactive teaching strategies in both in-person and virtual workshop sessions.
Partnership – Materials for these workshops are based on the National Income Tax Workbook and the Agricultural Tax Issues Workbook, written and published by the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation organized by several land grant universities that teach tax education programs for tax practitioners.
