Gerald (Jerry) Cornforth is an Extension Program Specialist III – Risk Management with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service located in College Station. Jerry joined FARM Assistance in February, 2012. Jerry has an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State and graduate degrees, also in Agricultural Economics, from Texas A&M. He served as an Extension district economist in the East Texas, Central Texas and Blacklands Extension districts. Jerry worked in private industry as a CFO. Most recently, he was involved in agricultural economics research work at Texas A&M before joining the FARM Assistance group. His activities focus on assisting producers in measuring risk and understanding the economic impacts of alternative risk management and production strategies, new technology, and changing agricultural policies. Jerry and his wife, Wanda, have three children and six grandchildren.
Jerry is a member of the FARM Assistance team.
