Dairy Cow Inventory Increasing …

The U.S. dairy cow inventory increased to almost 9.17 million head in August. On average, dairy cow numbers decline, seasonally, after June. This year they have continued to increase in response to high milk prices and a milk price-feed cost ratio that has increased to over 3.0 in the last 3 months.
