New Marketing and Distribution: direct marketing, catalogues, E-commerce

Other ranch and farm enterprises have effectively diversified their existing ranches or farms through new marketing methods including direct mail promotions, catalogs, on-farm and off-farm retailing, special Internet promotions and virtual markets.  These new direct marketing methods can increase the geographic reach of marketing campaigns and make ranch and farm products and services more readily accessible. Other examples include:

  • Direct mail
  • Direct shipping of products
  • Direct marketing to local restaurants and resorts
  • State Agency brochures (TDA's Go Texan)
  • Trade shows / Special events
  • Special labeling (pasture fed, antibiotic free)
