The Roy B. Davis Professorship

In 1971, a group of Texas cooperatives and their members endowed a professorship at Texas A&M University to both honor a remarkable leader and establish a formal commitment of the university to cooperative business. Named in honor of Roy Bennett Davis, the professorship remains part of a rich tradition of improving Texas by improving the lives of its citizens. Mr. Davis has also been recognized in the Texas Heritage Hall of Honor.

You can learn a great deal more about this cooperative pioneer from The Handbook of Texas Online.
