We are proud of the willingness of our graduates to provide us feedback about our program. The above-average survey return rates for the 2 1/2-year post surveys are below: Cumulative Impacts To date, Texas Master Marketer graduates have collectively received cumulative impacts exceeding 100 million dollars since the project began in 1996. About the Master Marketer Educational System
Steve Amosson, Stanley Bevers, Jackie Smith, Mark Waller, and Dean McCorkle The Master Marketer Program combines three successful concepts: intensive education, the Master Volunteer, and marketing clubs. Producers are trained in advanced risk management and marketing techniques during an intensive 64 hour program and then extend that knowledge to other producers by providing leadership for marketing clubs. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service-Extension Economists piloted the Master Marketer Program in Amarillo during 1996. The success of that effort led to the statewide expansion of the program. Managing Risk: Grain Marketing Report #01-13 The Master Marketer program is a 64-hour intensive marketing education course during which agricultural producers, ag lenders, and others are trained in marketing techniques, marketing plans, technical analysis, futures and options, and many other marketing related skills. This set of skills becomes their marketing “toolkit” which equips them to apply the skills to many situations that might arise when conducting agricultural business. Emmy Kiphen is an Extension Program Specialist II with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service located in College Station. Emmy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness in 2003 and a Master of Education in Agricultural Education in 2004, both from Texas A&M University. During her course studies, she received certificates in International Business from Mays Business School and Texas Secondary Teaching in Agricultural Production.
